      KeyRing is built with privacy by design. Your key data stays on your device. We don't run servers, we don't collect analytics, and we never sell your data.
    

1. Information We Collect

KeyRing does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers operated by us. All data you enter into the app — including key details, photos, and notes — is stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

2. Photos of Keys

Any photos you take or import within KeyRing are stored exclusively on your device. Photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. If you enable iCloud Sync (see below), photos may be included in your personal iCloud backup under your own Apple ID.

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

KeyRing offers an optional iCloud Sync feature. If you choose to enable it:

Your data is synced across your own Apple devices using Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
The sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
KeyRing has no access to your iCloud data — it flows directly between your devices via Apple.
You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app settings or your device's iCloud settings.

4. In-App Purchases

KeyRing uses Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app purchases and subscriptions. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. KeyRing never receives, processes, or stores your payment card details or billing information.

5. Notifications

KeyRing may request permission to send you local notifications (e.g. key return reminders). These notifications are generated entirely on-device and are never routed through our servers. No notification content is ever transmitted externally.

6. Analytics & Tracking

KeyRing contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no crash reporting services, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use tools such as Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties. There is no data to share — it all lives on your device.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all KeyRing data at any time by deleting the app from your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, you can also delete the associated iCloud data from your device's iCloud settings.

9. Children's Privacy

KeyRing does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. As no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages in this regard.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
